# Team & Permissions

> Invite teammates, assign roles, and control who can access and modify your Octolane workspace.

Octolane supports team collaboration with role-based access control. Invite your team and set permissions so everyone has the access they need.

## Inviting teammates

Go to **Settings → Team → Invite** and enter your teammates' email addresses. They'll receive an invitation to join your workspace.

## Roles

Octolane has two roles:

* **Admin** - full access. Can customize the data model, edit pipeline stages, manage agents, configure integrations, manage billing, and invite or remove members.
* **Member** - standard access. Can view and interact with deals, contacts, companies, and agents. Can approve agent actions for their own deals. Cannot change workspace-wide settings.

## What happens when teammates join

When a new team member connects their email and calendar:

* Their existing contacts and conversations are merged into the shared CRM
* Duplicate records are automatically detected and merged
* The team gets a unified view of all relationships and activity

## Removing team members

Admins can remove members from **Settings → Team**. When a member is removed, their data remains in the CRM but is no longer associated with their account.
