# How deals are auto-detected from email

> The logic behind deal detection.

Octolane reads your outbound and inbound email and flags conversations that look like deals based on:

* Buying-intent language ("pricing", "demo", "trial", "contract")
* New external contacts at a target-profile company
* Calendar invites that follow within 7 days
* Reply cadence consistent with sales motion

Detected deals appear in your [approval queue](/ai/approvals) for one-click confirm. Auto-approve thresholds are configurable.
