# Setting up Google Calendar

> Connect, permissions, and meeting capture.

## Connect

Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar → Connect.

## Permissions

Read access to your calendar events. Optional: meeting bot needs invite permissions to auto-join calls.

## Meeting capture

When enabled, the Octolane bot joins external meetings, records, transcribes, and writes the summary to the linked opportunity. See [Meeting recorder](/introductions/meeting-recorder).
