# Quickstart

> Octolane builds itself from your inbox and calendar. Most people are running in 10 minutes.

No imports. No setup wizards. No fields to configure. Connect Google and your accounts, contacts, and deals show up automatically.

  <Step title="Connect Gmail and Calendar · 30s">
    This is the only step that really matters. Octolane reads your inbox and calendar, then figures out who you've been talking to, which companies they work at, and which deals are in flight.

    Once connected, Octolane will:

    * Pull every account you've emailed or met with in the last 90 days
    * Match contacts to their companies
    * Detect opportunities from meeting patterns and email threads
    * Thread every future conversation to the right deal

  <Step title="Let Octolane assemble your CRM · ~1 min">
    You don't import anything. Octolane reads your meetings and inbox, then builds accounts, contacts, and opportunities from the people you've actually been talking to. It runs in the background. You can move on.

    Advanced enrichment runs alongside it, filling every account and contact with company info, titles, LinkedIn, and headcount. Adds another \~2 minutes. Skip in settings if you want.

    The recorder joins your Zoom, Meet, and Teams calls and takes notes for you. After every call you get a summary, action items, and the fields Octolane updated on the opportunity.
