# Migrating from Salesforce

> Step-by-step switch from Salesforce.

1. Use the Salesforce Data Export Service for Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Tasks, Notes.
2. Connect Gmail and Calendar to Octolane.
3. Run [CSV import](/managing-data/importing). Octolane maps standard Salesforce fields automatically.
4. Re-create custom objects with [Custom objects](/introductions/custom-objects).
5. Forward Salesforce webhooks via Zapier during transition.
