# Your first 7 days

> The retention checklist.

Users who hit 50 deals in their first week stay on Octolane past 6 months at 3x the rate of those who don't.

## Day 1

* Connect Gmail + Calendar
* Confirm initial sync completed

## Day 2

* Import any list from your old CRM or spreadsheet
* Run merge-duplicates pass

## Day 3

* Define 3 AI fields
* Build your pipeline (5 stages max)

## Day 4

* Run your first AI Chat report: *"Pipeline by stage."*
* Approve everything in the queue

## Day 5

* Install Signal on your site
* Turn on meeting bot

## Day 6

* Invite teammates (or don't. Solo works)
* Build 3 saved views

## Day 7

* Forecast: *"This quarter, commit and best case."*
* Audit AI field accuracy; tune prompts
